Yea parking is free but I never heard or saw that the museum provides wheelchairs although the museum is wheelchair accessible and the restaurant too.
They have the hours on their website.
I seriously doubt they would allow this.
I paid $5.00
I am sure if you contact the business office they can help.
There is a large Kaws sculpture ("Clean Slate") in an interior courtyard overlooking the pond. Don't think any other Kaws is up right now.
Fort Worth Museums are amazing. The Modern has great exhibits and lots of genre of films that show throughout the years from documentary to indie to theatre. Lots of things to enjoy.
Super awesome. Lots of classic modern artists works. Classic Andy Warhol pieces, a Jackson Pollock, and some of Picasso's works. Most of the 2nd floor was closed off but it was still very fun.
My husband and I loved talking ours kids here.
I've been to most of the major modern museums in the country, this is at least tied for first. Great space, amazing standing collection. Fantastically curated traveling installations and other shows presented well always.
Not as large as I would have expected. No signs or markers asking patrons to stay at least two feet away from exhibits but workers will quickly scold you if they feel you break the invisible barrier. Fortunately we went on Free Friday so it was no loss otherwise I would have felt like I wasted my money.
Was disappointed with a lot of what's considered good modern art here, but they have great admission prices on different days and discounts.
Beautiful building. Nice collection. Pretty restaurant, and nice outdoor space to relax after taking it all in.
A cool and contemplative space, there is always something on view worth seeing.
I’ve lived in the area for over 10 years and have never gone. I’m not much of an artsy person but I went for the first time and I loved it. Looking at all the paintings and sculptures I was amazed at the talent. It was very relaxing.
This is unquestionably the most beautiful modern art museum I've ever come across. The building itself is a delight to behold.
I will go to the museum for my own personal therapy. It is my own time to relax and unwind. The modern art gives me a greater appreciation of what is really going on at this moment. So much work goes on inside and outside of the museum. The trees lit up at night on the grounds gives off such a wondrous vibe. It truly refreshes my soul.
My wife and I went to the Cafe Modern and were pleasantly surprised at the wonderful menu items. They also had 1/2 price wine at the bar before dinner. I ordered the lamb chops and they were cooked to perfection. The service was excellent as well as the view, sitting by the water. I would certainly recommend enjoying a fine meal or celebrating a special occasion. Enjoy.
Great stop for those locked away because of Covid. Masks are must and the make sure there's plenty of room to Social Distance. Artwork was breathtaking and don't forget the exhibits outside in the back. Water is beautiful so come and enjoy.
This is one of my favorite art museums. Not only do they have wonderful art exhibits, they also host several film series, bringing really great films to Fort Worth that would never appear in the mainstream theaters. Two of my favorite series are Magnolia at the Modern and National Theatre Live (in conjunction with Amphibian Stage Productions). I visit this museum at least once a week to see a film, and often walk through the art exhibits before the show starts.
We enjoyed this more than we thought we would. The rodeo exhibit was our favorite. It's also a great place to just sit and think, write or sketch.
First trip here and I can honestly say that it was fantastic and unforgettable! Several of the art installations were absolutely amazing! The building itself is an amazing art piece! Can't say enough about this place. If you have some time, make sure you get yourself some culture!
I learned something about which I never knew, "paper ends." I was most impressed with the 3D piece. Thank you.
Very kool items for sale in the Museum Shop KAWS, Keith Harring T's and Comme de Garcons sneakers as well as Murakami art prints and face masks!
